After a delay for too much wind today, we got out on the water around 1pm to start racing in the repecharge on day three of the
Princess Sofia Tropheo
. We sailed three of the five races and finished the day with a 2-1 record. The top two of the repecharge advance into the Quarter finals.

When we went out, the wind was in a bit of a lull, around 12-16kts. But when we got into the racing, the wind picked up and the racing was fast! We had 4-5ft waves and a lot of chop on top of them. It was exciting sailing, especially sailing downwind.
Race one was against France's Julie Bossard. We had a great start and led at the top mark. She rounded behind us in a puff, caught some nice waves bringing her close, and we had a good gybing battle downwind. We managed to stay ahead at the bottom and went on to win the race.
The next race was against Silke Hahlbrock from Germany. We had a very aggressive prestart with her which resulted in two penalties on us. Despite her being over early on the line, we had to spin one of our penalties which still left us behind off the line. We caught up a little upwind, but she sailed a very fast downwind and we couldn't catch up. We were disappointed at this loss, but it got us fired up for our last race.
Our last race was against Anna Kjellberg from Sweden. We had a good pre-start again and managed to get a penalty on her. We led her off the line and around the whole course. This last race was windy. As we entered the start, Debbie pointed out "it's steadily...really freaking windy." The wind had picked up to the upper teens for this race, but we were excited by our speed and boat handling.
Currently, Dorte Jensen from Denmark is undefeated in our round with a 3-0 record. Three of us are at 2-1, us, Silke, and Nicky Souter from Australia. Tomorrow's racing will be the decider as to who advances.
